With the arrival of Autumn, I have found myself stocking up on lots of produce high in vitamin C to ensure my family and I’s immune system remains strong! This homemade ‘Vitamin C Tea’ serves as an ideal remedy for those chilly days, moments of feeling a bit run down, or when cold and flu symptoms strike.
While preparing this tea may take a bit longer than steeping a regular tea bag, the rewards include a substantial dose of vitamin C with just the right balance of sweetness and spice.
For those inclined toward less sugar, I recommend reducing the amount of pineapples and adding an extra lemon. This adjustment will impart a slightly more tart flavor, but rest assured, you’ll still receive a generous infusion of immune-boosting vitamin C.
Serves: 4 | Prep time: 5 mins | Cooking time: 25 mins
Sip and savour the immune-boosting benefits!
