For our second visit to Rhodes, Greece we chose to stay Casa Cabana Hotel & Suites—a boutique hotel with boho chic interior design.
During our visit to Rhodes last April, we stayed at Casa Cook and whilst we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we thought it would be nice to try a different hotel.
Overall, I would say our experience at Casa Cabana was good. For a full breakdown of the pros and cons, keep reading!
The location is perfect—especially if you plan to visit a number of restaurants and bars. It’s also relatively close to the airport (about a 20 min drive).
I read a Google review that said the coffee was terrible… but we didn’t think so. From the cappuccinos and lattes served at breakfast to the L’or coffee machine in our room, all of the coffee was delicious.
The food was pretty good too. Whilst we didn’t have all of our meals at the hotel, we ordered the Rhodes salad, chicken souvlaki and cheeseburger—all of which we enjoyed.
We stayed in one of the properties Luxury Loft Suite’s which came equipped with a cute desk for working, so if you need to get some work done during your stay, there’s a space for that.
With lots of raw materials, textures and neutral colours, the interior design is beautiful and perfect for content creation.
Our room came with a private pool which unfortunately we didn’t get to entirely enjoy because it was really dirty. We called several times to have someone clean the pool but the method in which they used to clean the pool (with a net) just wasn’t sufficient.
In terms of service, whilst it wasn’t bad, it didn’t quite feel like the staff went the extra mile. Perhaps they were understaffed or maybe they were overworked. Either way, this had a negative impact on the quality of hospitality delivered.
Aside from a rail to hang a few items of clothing and a few shelves, we found that there weren’t many storage solutions. it would’ve been nice if there were a couple of drawers to store more clothing.
Lastly, the prime location, though great for dining and nights out, might not be the best if you’re hoping to have an early night. The noise proofing in our suite, simply put—wasn’t the greatest.
